Possible job, number 2 in the nation, and $40

I know the title sounds a little strange, but I'll explain it for ya. As some of you already know, I'm not taking the insurance job. I've thought long and hard about it, and talked to many people about it, and I've come to the conclusion that I'm just not comfortable working on commission. I mean, it may be for some people, but its just not for me. I do, however, have what I guess you could call an interview Monday. Joel helped me out and set me up with a possible job offer, something to do with reading survey maps and things like that. I don't really know a whole lot about it right now, but I'll find out Monday. Money is so tight right now I'm pretty much open to almost anything. So wish me luck with that, hopefully I'll be employed soon!

As I'm sure all of you know, Auburn beat LSU last Saturday in an absolute nail-biter. It was a close game the whole time, a real defensive battle that we were lucky to win 7-3. Notre Dame was just crushed by Michigan (as I predicted but nobody believed me), which sent us to the number 2 spot in the nation!! Now the Coach's Poll still has us as number 3, because USC is their number 2. Let me tell you, USC has had a tough schedule so far... Arkansas, an off week, and Nebraska. Don't get me wrong, Nebraska is a good team, but they're not LSU by any means. So their 2-0 start against a weaker schedule keeps them ahead of us. I guess I can't complain too much, I mean this is THE USC... the holy land of football... all hail USC. Thats the way most of the media and coaches think anyway... Losing Leinhart and Bush means nothing, they are still untouchable because they have John David Booty.... please. Ok enough ranting, nothing matters until after the 8th week anyway when the BCS polls come out. And if we beat number 5 Florida in a few weeks and USC is still ahead of us, now everyone should agree thats total BS.

So money has been very very tight for me lately. I was planning on going to Auburn this weekend and having a good time, but didn't have any extra money for it. That was until last night of course. I wore a pair of jeans that I haven't worn since probably last winter, and reached into the back left pocket, and boom... $40! I always check my pockets before I take my jeans off, but I guess a while back I forgot, 2 twentys were right there! Now I know its just $40 and thats not a whole lot of money, but now I can afford to go to AU and have a good time. And finding that just might be a sign that things are starting to turn around. I can only hope so. AU plays Buffalo Saturday, which should be a blowout, but tailgating is always fun. If you're planning to go to AU this weekend give me a call. K I'm out for now.. WAR EAGLE!

Football, the single life, and some more randomness

Well Auburn is off to a great start of the season... outscoring our first 2 opponents at a combined 74 - 14, including a shutout of Mississippi State. We're gonna be put to the test this Saturday though, when LSU comes to town. We've pwned LSU at home lately, and I hope the trend continues. It's gonna be a huge game. We'll be heading up there probably Friday and attending a block party, and probably won't come back until Sunday. It's gonna be great fun!

Well I've had fun being single so far, it keeps getting better, although I don't need to have any repeats of last Friday night. My friends who read this know what I'm talking about. Sometimes I think I have a little too much fun. Not remembering most of the night is usually not a good thing. But for the most part going out with my friends is 100 times better now than it used to be.

As far as poker is concerned, I still haven't really been playing. I'm sure I'll get back to poker soon though, cause I really miss it alot. I see some people having some great success with poker right now, and I wish I could be right there with them. I plan on coming out swinging when I make my return though.... it shouldn't be too long. I've actually already set a goal for myself too. I want to make it back to the PartyPoker Million cruise. Although I just barely missed cashing at the PPM4, it was the trip of a lifetime. Don't get me wrong, my 2005 WSOP experience was awesome, but I enjoyed the cruise much better.

Well I'm going to try to update again soon. WAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR EAGLE, HEY!!!!!!!!
