Update from work...

I'm doing this from my cell phone at work, so forgive any typos, formatting errors, etc. that you may come across.

So I played about 160 180-mans for a profit of $530, which is an ROI of about 75 percent... not great by any means, but then again it was a pretty small sample size. I've decided, once again, to change it up a bit. The 180s just seem to take up my whole night because they last so long and take so long to fill. I looked into the double-or-nothing sngs on stars and decided to give those a try. For one, I can get in a pretty good volume of those. Also, the variance is pretty low, which is good for me since I can't affordto go totally broke on stars right now. If you're not familiar with them, they work like this.... its a 10-man sng that pays the top 5 finishers equally.. so in a $10 buyin, top 5 get $20. Its pretty simple. The rake for the turbos isn't horrible... there are $10+.40s, which I play, $20+.80s, and so on. I think grinding these by playing about 240 or 250 a week could be a good bankroll boost. I started last night and went 34-26 for a profit of $56. I've heard 10 to 15 percent ROI may be sustainable, so hopefully I can run good. It took me a little to get used to them. I found that for me, 20 tables is too much, so I'll stick to 15 tabling. The strategy is just so different in these vs regular sngs.

On another note, Auburn and our struggling offense visits West Virginia this week for the ESPN thurs night game. I'm excited to watch it.... I don't really remember the last time we played on a thursday. I think its the first ever meeting between the two teams. Hopefully we can pull it off.... WAR EAGLE!!!

I'm frustrated right now... I hate whining about bad beats, but they have been killing me lately... I won't go into details about the hands, but I lost many 80/20s for big stacks, and my last like 5 coin flips, which were all late in the tourneys, 1 at a final table. If I can't at least win 1 or 2 of these late, I'll never make money... Ok enough of that. Here are my stats so far...

I'm really shooting for 100% ROI or better, so I need to get a few top 3 finishes to get back on track. I'll try to play 50 or 60 more this week, so we'll see if I can stop running bad for a few days. Well thats it for now... I'll try to update at the end of this week, so hopefully I'll be up a few hundred more then.

Quick Update...

I've been running good in the 180s so far. After 26 played, I have a 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th. Luckily so far, I haven't had an ugly min-cashes (10th-18th). I hate those. I'll try to squeeze in 75 games this week. Its just hard because each one takes a few minutes to fill up, and I really don't feel like staying up until 2:00 or so playing them.

Congrats to Alex, who has been KILLING online tourneys lately. He has a 4th in a $22 for like 2.4k a week or two ago and tonight he had a win in a $6 for like $1.4k or so. One thing about him, he will either bust on one of the bubbles or enter the FT with like a 238949 to 1 chip lead... dude doesn't play short-stacked very often. Keep it up!!
