Tired...

I'm pretty tired so I just played 1 session tonight which included just 4 6-man $13 sngs. I got 1st in one and 4th, 3rd, and 3rd in the others to break about even. I played well except when I was 3-handed in one of them I made a big mistake when I should've semi-bluffed allin on the turn of X T J Q with 2 diamonds when I had K4dd and was short-stacked. I was in the bb and the other 2 limped, then we all checked the flop... I checked the turn and the button bet enough to put me in and I decided to fold... (maybe I should have called?? I don't know.. I wasn't quite getting the odds but it was close).. Anyway we folded and he showed 22 for just a pair. I played that like a donk. But anyway enough about that, here are a couple of hands for your amusement. One was a hand that busted me in one of the sngs and the other cut into my stack pretty good... Enjoy.....

6-man sngs

I'm going to start playing the 6-man sngs instead of the full table ones. They suit my game much better, and I love opening lots of pots. I've only played 6 of them so far, but won 3 and came 2nd in 1 of them. I know these are short-term results and it means nothing, but I think I'm much better at them than the full table ones. I played a little tonight, but only made a little bit because I bombed the full table turbos again. I also played a $5.50+R turbo that paid out $175 seats to a double shootout satty for the pokerstars caribbean adverture... top 21 got seats and I came in a dissappointing 23rd. In those turbo sattys, its all about getting lucky late because every bet is pretty much allin. If you go card dead, you're pretty much screwed cause you will get called when u push with crap. I was doing fine until 2 ppl busted at my table which broke another table to fill us up. Well the button had to move 3 seats to the left, which allowed a shortstack to skip the bb, and obviously made me skip a much needed free hand which would allow other players to bust on other tables. Blinds were 10k/20k and avg stack was about 25k.... so u know how that goes. I was forced in on the bb with 36os and bricked against AK... but its all good, I didn't even have to rebuy. I'm gonna be grinding out those 6-man sngs for a while I guess, well at least thats the plan right now.

This is obviously not too great. Waaaaay too many 3rds. At one point I was down to my last $40 from around $120 at the start of the session, and I played a 6-man $38 sng, cause like I said, I wanna build fast at first or just start over. Anyway, top 2 get paid in those, and I was big time short stack 3-handed with 400something chips at 100/200 blinds. Well I ended up coming back and winning, which was around $130 or so. My latest session was just 4-tabling the $15+1 turbo sngs (by the way, I switched to those instead of the $10s, the regulars just take too long, and I don't have time like I used to). I got 3 handed, all about even in chips in one of them, and lost allin pre with AK vs his KJ. Another one I got 5th when I called an allin with A9 (had avg stack, blinds were high, and this guy kept pushing), he had QJ, flop A 5 J turn 9 river, his 2-outer. Bye bye me. So I'm down to around $100 or so in my account now, and still waiting for my rush to come. My goal is still to play way above my bankroll in these sngs until I can move up at least to $30s with a sufficient bankroll... it may take a while.

Oh yeah, and on another note, yesterday was a good football day. We played Ark. State so of course we won. But thats not the best part.... Alabama and Georgia both lost, and to the 2 worst teams in the SEC... hahahaha I love it.
